How buying works

Buying a car is a big decision. Here is exactly what happens, from your first message to driving away.
  1. 1. Find your car and contact us

Browse our foreign-used (tokunbo) cars, SUVs and trucks, then message us on WhatsApp or call 0806 173 1673 or 0903 352 4982. Tell us the car you like. The stock number (for example AM-0019) helps. We will confirm that it is still available and where you can see it.

  2. 2. Inspect the car

Visit us at Iju Road or Bamboo Plaza, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please call before you come so we can have the car ready for you. You are welcome to bring your own mechanic.

Can't come to Lagos yet? Ask us on WhatsApp for extra photos and videos of the car.

  3. 3. Reserve the car with a deposit (optional)

If you need time before paying in full, you can hold the car with a reservation deposit. The deposit is a percentage of the price, agreed with our team before you pay. We will confirm in writing how long the car is held for you.

  4. 4. Choose how to pay

    • Outright payment: pay the full price at once.
    • Instalments: pay part of the price now and the balance within 15 days. There are no eligibility requirements.

We do not offer long-term car loans, trade-ins or car swaps.

  5. 5. Pay safely

    • We never take payment on this website.
    • Pay only into the company account in the name Auto Mercy of God Nigeria Limited.
    • Always confirm the account details by calling 0806 173 1673 or 0903 352 4982 before you pay.
    • We will never ask you to pay into a personal account. If anyone does, please call us.
    • Keep your transfer receipt. We will issue a receipt for every payment.
  6. 6. Collect your car and documents

The car is released once the full price has been paid. You receive these documents:

    • Sales receipt or invoice from Auto Mercy of God Nigeria Limited, showing the vehicle, chassis (VIN) number and amount paid.
    • Sales agreement, signed by both parties.
    • Customs duty papers, showing the vehicle was legally cleared into Nigeria. You can verify these with the Nigeria Customs Service.
    • Spare key(s), where available.

If you want the car registered, we can help you get the following. Ask us for the cost.

    • Vehicle licence
    • Proof of Ownership Certificate
    • Number plates
    • Roadworthiness certificate
    • Third-party insurance certificate
  7. 7. Delivery anywhere in Nigeria

Collect your car from our Lagos office, or we can deliver it anywhere in Nigeria. Delivery cost and timing depend on your location. Ask us for a quote before you pay.

  8. 8. Refunds

Refunds depend on when the car was collected and on the terms agreed at the time of sale. Please ask our team to explain the refund terms that apply before you pay a deposit or instalment.
