Auto Mercy of God Nigeria Limited ("Auto Mercy", "we", "us") is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under number 7328497. We sell foreign-used vehicles from our offices at 9 Moshalashi Alao Street, Oyemukun Bus Stop, Iju Road, Lagos, and 6/8 Ogunnisi Road, Bamboo Plaza, adjacent Omole Phase 1, Lagos.
This notice explains how we collect and use your personal data when you visit automercyofgod.com or contact us, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, phone number, email address (optional), your message, the vehicle you ask about, how you would like to pay and where you would like delivery, when you use our enquiry or contact forms.
- Conversations: messages you send us on WhatsApp, phone calls and emails.
- Purchase details: if you buy a vehicle, the details needed to complete the sale, produce documents, register the vehicle (if you ask us to) and deliver it, such as your full name, address and a copy of your means of identification.
- Website usage: pages viewed, buttons clicked (for example "Ask on WhatsApp"), device and browser type, and approximate location. We collect these through cookies and similar tools from Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Ads) and Cloudflare.
We do not collect bank card details, PINs or passwords on this website.
2. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange viewings, inspections, reservations, sales and delivery.
- To prepare sales receipts, agreements and vehicle documents.
- To keep sales and payment records, as the law requires.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it.
- To measure our adverts and show our adverts to people who have visited our website.
3. Our legal basis
We use your data because:
- you asked us to take steps before or during a purchase (contract);
- the law requires us to keep certain records (legal obligation);
- we have a legitimate interest in running, securing and improving our business; or
- you gave your consent, for example to advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- service providers that run our website, analytics and advertising (our hosting provider, Google and Cloudflare);
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there;
- delivery partners, when you ask us to deliver a vehicle;
- vehicle registration and insurance providers, when you ask us to register a vehicle;
- government authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a sale: up to 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Sales records: for as long as Nigerian law requires.
After that, we delete or anonymise the data.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- know what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data, where we don't need to keep it by law;
- object to or restrict how we use it, including for advertising;
- withdraw any consent you have given;
- receive your data in a commonly used format.

7. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies to measure how our website is used and to measure and show our adverts. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control personalised Google adverts at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies won't stop you from browsing our cars.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data. We will never ask for your bank PIN, card details or passwords on the website, by phone or on WhatsApp.
9. Children
Our website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
